Who We Are:
His Kingdom Vision
“Write the vision, and make it plain
upon tables, that he may run that reads it” Habakkuk
The Kingdom of God defined: The kingdom of God is the government of heaven operating in the lives of
believer here on earth. “No longer will they say the kingdom is out there. For indeed, the kingdom of God is within
you” (Luke 17:21). Christ came to the earth from heaven to teach heavenly principles, not worldly governmental ideology.
And the primary focus of His kingdom message is the love of God in our hearts, and humanity’s love for one another. Jesus
said that these two commandments fulfill all the laws and teachings of the prophets (Matthew 22:37-40). God created this
world to establish His kingdom. The restoration of what was lost by Adam in the Garden of Eden is God’s
plan for your life.
When God created Adam and Eve, then placed them in the Garden of Eden, He gave them dominion over all
the earth. This story in the Bible is known as the Edenic Covenant. “And God blessed them, and God said
unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of
the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth” (Genesis 1:28).
From the time Adam fell from grace, God had already devised a contingency plan for man to regain his
dominion. “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall
bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel ” (Genesis 3:15).
God sent a flood to destroy all human flesh from the earth because of man’s wickedness, except for Noah and
his family in Genesis 7. This story is known as the Noahic covenant, and it took place approximately 1600
years after the creation of Adam. The book of Genesis contains no laws—but the third of three covenants is
found in Genesis chapter 12. This is known as the Abrahamic Covenant. The breaking of one covenant and
the establishment of two is the process of God restoring the dominion of man in the earth.
Abraham was called by God to leave his father’s house (the family religion) and travel to a place that he knew
not of. In doing so—he became known as a friend of God, a man of righteousness and faith. “Now
the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house,
unto a land that I will shew the: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy
name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth
thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed” (Genesis 12:1-3). This covenant is the beginning of
a 2000 year process of laws and commandments that would steer humanity to Christ—who would complete
the kingdom restoration process.
The laws of Moses were given 400 years after the call of Abraham—and it was through his descendants that
God would make His atonement with mankind. It began with Abraham, then through his promised son Isaac.
Then Jacob, Isaac’s son continued the covenant through his 12 sons. God changed Jacob’s name from Jacob to
Israel—and his 12 sons became the 12 Tribes of Israel. The 12 Tribes became a nation, and as a nation they
stewarded the covenant that ushered the Messiah (Jesus the Christ) into the world.
Because the law was given through human flesh (Moses) it was incapable of completely restoring man’s
dominion in the earth. “For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his
own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh” (Romans 8:3). The role of
Christ was to fulfill Genesis 3:15, and restore to us what Adam lost in the Garden of Eden—his kingdom
dominion. We now understand that the kingdom of God is the “government of heaven operating in the lives
of believers here on earth.” In the beginning Christ was in heaven with God. “In the beginning was the word,
and word was with God and the word was God” (John 1:1). “The word became flesh and dwelt among us…”
(John 1:14).
Christ taught us through precepts and examples how to systematically disarm the enemy (Satan). Satan was
responsible for the deception of Eve in the Garden of Eden. So, for man to take his dominion back and
possess the kingdom of God here on the earth—he must know how to rightfully apply the words that Christ
taught. And he must be endowed with the Holy Spirit. “And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and
saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost.” (John 20:22).
The Holy Spirit teaches faith, love, forgiveness, how to pray, how to walk in truth, resolving conflict among
fellow believers, spiritual warfare, miracles, worship, relationships, suffering for the kingdom, spiritual
warfare and so much more. Christ literally taught His followers how to take dominion in the earth. This was
an impossible task to undertake without the power of the Holy Spirit. The last command that Jesus left with
His disciples was for them to go to Jerusalem and wait for the promise of the Father. “And, behold, I send the
promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on
high” (Luke 24:29). Acts chapter 2 records the coming of the Holy Spirit upon those that assembled in the
Upper Room. This experience was the first in recorded history of the Bible. It was on the day of Pentecost,
which was celebrated by the Israelites annually since the day they left Egypt. Isaiah prophesied of the day
when God would restore kingdom government in the earth through Christ—the Messiah of the Jews. “Unto us
a child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government of the Kingdom shall be upon His shoulders...”
(Isaiah 9:6)
As kingdom people, we are governed by the principles of the kingdom of heaven. “The fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance” (Galatians 5:22-23). The 4 gospels and the
epistles of the NT are our guiding principles in this world. Jesus taught these principles during His 3 1/2 years of
ministry. And the apostles lived them out during their lifetime. To understand Kingdom, you need revelation
and inspiration, which comes only through the Holy Spirit. Revelation is the revealed truth of Christ, and
inspiration is how the teaching of the Holy Scriptures was written and passed down through generations. All
kingdom people are self-governed by the same Holy Spirit, and they are not in conflict with one another. In
Christ there’s neither Jew, nor Greek, bond nor free, male or female—but we’re one in Christ. The kingdom of
God is the restoration of spiritual government that begins in the home among spouses and children. As the
head of the house, husbands must pass kingdom values to his family and model it within the congregation.
The kingdom of God is relational. Christ is the head of His Church, the home, and man. God is requiring
“everyone” who are His followers to abide by His Kingdom Principles daily. New Vision Cathedral exist
solely to model God’s “Kingdom Vision” on earth. Please join us as we diligently work to restore family
values, break down the barriers of race, partisan politics, and religious sectarianism. We Are One in God’s
