• Pastor Edward L. Johnson was born October 2, 1954 in Berkeley County, SC, the sixth of eleven children of Johnie and Thelma Johnson of Goose Creek, SC.  Edward was educated in the Berkeley County School System.​

• June 1972 graduated from Goose Creek High School in Goose Creek, SC

•  September 1972 entered US Armed Forces, served for 3 years in the Army.  During his militarytenure, he rededicated his life to God and was called by God to preach the gospel in 1974. While still serving in the Armed Forces, Edward traveled to Mexico, Germany, Belgium,France, Holland, and England.  After an Honorable Discharge from the military, he served anadditional three in active reserve duties.  While in the reserves he attended the N.C.O. Academyfor two years.

• 1976 enrolled in studies at the Baptist College of Charleston (currently known as Charleston Southern University). He majored in Religion for approximately 2 years.

•  1977 appointed Jurisdictional secretary for S.C.J.

• ​Edward is the Senior Pastor of New Vision Cathedral Lincolnville, SC, where he currently serves as Pastor.

• Edward has taken educational tours to the Holy Land and Seoul, Korea.  He had the distinct privilege to attend services in the largest Full Gospel Church in the far east (in 1998) Yoido Full Gospel church.

 

• He is married to the lovely Stacey E. Lattimore-Johnson and they have 6 wonderful children and 12 grandchildren.

• In January 2023 Edward wrote: ‘The Autopsy Of Slavery and the Bible” published by Xulon Press (the largest Christian book publisher in America.

• In April 2023 he released his latest book titled: “The Infilling Of The Holy Spirit” published by Trilogy publishing, a subsidiary of Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) the largest Christian broadcasting network in the world.

• Edward is the visionary of the Greater Charleston Assembly/ The Gathering of Men” Gideon 300. www.chsassembly.org

•  For his life work he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degree from St. Thomas Christian College—Jacksonville Florida. He also serves as the Chief Commissioner for the Charleston Ecclesiastical Council—founded in March of 2012. (This organization was established in order to promote UNITY among the clergy, political and business community in  the Charleston Tri-County area.)
